you should try shredded $1 bills rodger, cheaper then 4oz of weed, and you can PC it too :P By the way, i think your rather nuts by colonizing $1k of weed rather then just sending it to me, but it's fairly amusing once i get by that... What are your plans for the substrate when your done with it? sounds like all the THC from 4oz of weed will still be sitting in said weed... could do one of those methanol extractions... that'd pull out the magic AND the thc... both are solable in methanol... quite the tincture. |

Pskovinsky may have a good point, the weed definitly still has some THC in it, and the mycelium will have some magic in it. Definitly make some butter out of the whole thing when you're done with it, the only problem is that psilo. isn't fat soluable, I don't believe.

I think the only thing(s) that both the thc and the psil. are soluable in are alcohol and maybe petrolium based things, butane, napthe, etc.... I don't really know for sure though... both are soluable in alcohol, i know that! I'm very curious what your plan is rodger... |

Well if you grow and you have lotsa stems and trimmed leaves, that kinda shit, it might make a good substrate? |

The nugs were wetted, drained and inoculated with a quart of corn. No heat was applied. Didn't need any pasteurization, it was fully colonized in 7 days. I've noticed the same thing with raw hemp. It colonizes very fast. Yes, old leaves and stems make a good addition to the substrate. Hemp fiber is also good. It would work better mixed into a complex substrate. Plain hemp will grow mushrooms, but it's a pretty poor substrate. As can be seen above, nugs are a less than ideal choice to use by themselves. That's a piss poor pinset and quite small fruitbodies for the size of the substrate. Had to try though.... "I feel rowdy and I don't know why. . .Excuse me, while I kiss the sky!" jimi hendrix

That would be the Pan Stipticus. I'm trying to fruit those. I've photo documented the whole process and will post it all when they fruit. The syringes were used to inoculate agar, and that was transfered to rye. After colonization the rye was spawned into a combination of sawdust, woodchips, hemp and coir. It's fully colonized and has been cold shocked. I've tried to get pictures of them glowing, but can't see it on my camera. I have them on a shelf in my bedroom, and anytime I wake up at night I can see them over there glowing. They're not bright enough to see in a lighted room however, and I don't think I can get the shutter on my digital camera to stay open long enough to get the picture. All the pictures I've taken in the dark just came out black. "I feel rowdy and I don't know why. . .Excuse me, while I kiss the sky!" jimi hendrix

Thanx for the info, any chances of taking prints? You would prolly need the shutter open for 20 seconds or so on a tripod or surface... You can try and videotape it and grab a still if your PC has a video in card... Anway, lookiing forward to that... A wise monkey never monkeys with another monkeys monkey...

Man I just pray I can come across nugs half that good, cuz it's hard to stay medisated with schwag. I am finishing detoxing from methadone and if it weren't for nugs I'd be having a lot more trouble. Now my only trouble is finding something that doesn't taste like piss when smoked. I wish I was Rodgers neighbor! PB |

It's a good area for good nugs. It seems everyone I know has some hydro going. I was wishing I had the ww on thanksgiving though. "I feel rowdy and I don't know why. . .Excuse me, while I kiss the sky!" jimi hendrix
