sol,
real simple and easy, 95% effective.
first, do the pre-soak.
24 hours in a nute solution [diluted] such as liquid kelp or even worm shit tea.
the paper towel tek works good
but i prefer cloth towels, they hold more water.
fold damp cloth towel over double,
lay seeds [soaked] in between
and move to a warm dark place
no baggie, you need it to breathe.
if humidity is low and the towel dries fast,
just mist it.
the key to success is to watch closely and as soon as you see the seed crack
get it planted.
you don't want to let the taproot get long,
as that's eating up the seed's very limited food supply.
so get that root in a medium where it can eat within just a few hours of its' sprouting.
btw, just a few drops of bleach in the water will knock down molds, etc. but not harm the seeds.

Sweet - thanks Hip!

I got ONE seed out of 30+ I dropped in a pot to
sprout, but it fagged out after a day.
I think I'm doing with this weed what I did with
mushrooms when I first started -
I'm jerking off with seeds and wasting my time
and efforts on half-assed projects
when I need to go whole-hog like I did (finally)
with my fungus.

I think I'll go the worm poo tea method, as I've
been meaning to get some for my fungi anyways,
may as well kill two birds and get stoned :-)

thanks,

Soliver

looks to me like you might have some spider mites in your garden, see those lighter colored patches on the leaves ?
a closer pic would help
but if i were you
i'd take a close inspection tour under the leafs.

Thats the HPS i had on for light to take pics. Usually i just left the shop lights on the sides but now i can only leave the last one and its not enuf light on its own.
There is a little nitrogen deficiency you can see on the lowest fan leaves in pic three, the rest is just from the light, thats planned though as im taking clones this week.

One week before taking a cutting feed the stock plants with a low nitrogen, high Phosphorus flowering fertilizer.
The flowering fertilizer will lower the amount of stored nitrogen in the plant and increase the amount of stored carbohydrates necessary for the production of roots.

No mighty mites

There are no light colored patches on the leaves. Its just from the crappy camera. Thanks for the advice though.

Used to my dumb questions yet? OK -

Why are you soaking the clones,
and what's in the soak water
(rooting hormone?)

Thx,

sol

Flouro Lights - $100
33 Gal Rubber Maid Tub - $8.99
6 Seeds - $6

62 rooted female clones in 48 days ready for last frost - Priceless

3/25 planted all of the areo clones, some of the rockwool clones have a few more days. I lost one clone during the process, and 12 turned out to be male.
