Hey guys whats up? I just downloaded a spyware protection program and was shocked to see that my computer which I had reformated not 10 hours ago has 30 infect folders with spyware. That means a number of internet companies have been tracking my history. I can't believe that. If I were you guys I would get a spyware protection program for your own protection.

You might also get Zone Alarm to use as a firewall.
There is both a free version and a (pay) Pro version.
Adaware and Spybot Search and Destroy are good too.
You can use a free online scanner from PestPatrol called Pestscan.
Doesn't fix anything but can show you if there is anything
that is currently known on your system.
Another free online virus scanner, that will clean
them too, is Housecall.
A combination of tools is the best imo.
And PS: this really should have been posted in the Security Forum
Hope this helps :-)

spybot-search and destroy is a great freebie. its gotten rid of over a hundred spyware files.
techtv.com is a good place to find the link to it as well as a bunch of other useful things.

I dislike anti virus corps and spyware corps...

They create these pesky little bugs so we give into buying there software....

Straight to hell?

atleast some cats keep virus/spy scanning software freeware ... thank goodness.

looks like I'll skip the update?
