I dunked my cake after the first flush with two small pins on it, to my surprise there actually growing

Oh yeah. Pins of up to say 1/3-inch or so don't mind a good dunkin'. You just need to be really careful not to bang 'em around too much.

Yep i dunked one cake that still had alot of tiny pins(too small to even pick)and withen 24 hours after the dunk those pins had grown 10 fold.they ended up being pretty nice.
