the first bloom of the phalaris aquatica ,this year,a nice plant but i always have difficulties to recognize it from other grasses,only at blooming time it is clear who's who

Nice! I still see what I think is a lot of Phalaris growing wild all over the place in my area(the Northern Midwest), but I've never seen too many good pictures of the tops close up to be able to ID them. |

natura, i think it was from the flower and herbexchange at seedsavers.org and no ,i didn't do an extraction yet.i'm having troubles recognizing them between the other grasses.it is only when in bloom that i can detect them.they are 4-5 yrs old and my trials at growing the seed are not very consistant,one time it works anothertime just a few grow.i think i'll let them finish seed before doing extracts...
