the file type to jpg (jpeg)
Hope this helps :)

Did youve grown it from a clone or spores?

These were all grown using NY. Don't have a shot of the NY Karo mycelium solution. No humidifier or much fanning....I have a double aquarium pump outside, into two bubblers-beer bottles. Two pieces of tubing at level of pearlite going outside which exhausts CO2. I work long, sometimes erratic hours so doesn't get fanned often or regularly. I believe my system would do better with regular fanning tho. Used spores into NY Karo and inoculated grown out mycelium solution into 1/2 tsp. NY per 1/2 pint BRF.

does the yeast affect fruiting or just colonization times??

well, you're talking 1/2 teaspoon of n.y. per cake, which is enough to notice but it's not massive in itself. you'd need to do alot more cakes and have them all do as nice before you could conclude n.y. was the real cause. but from what we've seen so far in both liquid and solid cultures including n.y., i'd say it's a worthwhile additive.

Yes, Maz....I have not done enough cakes to say for sure, but the ones I have used NY on seem to all do a little better than the others from same spore syringe. Since I use liquid Mycelium, I can really stretch a syringe....I will continue to use this stuff as it can't hurt and is not cost prohibitive. I don't notice faster colonisation times in the cakes (beyond the normal times-spore vs mycelium innoculation) but the mycelium does seem to grow better. The only drawback I can see is, its much harder to spot contams in solution. So far, this has not been a problem. And no, not all the cakes look this good, but on average they do seem to bee more "healthy". Closeups are with a flat field 75 mm close-up lens with bellows which was designed for a different purpose and does not give any depth of field, even at f22. I'm using a ZX-10 Pentax body. Would like to get a 4 megapixel digital but the damn things are to expensive still...I expect, like other stuff, prices will fall with time. Also at this point you don't have the lens versatility with most digitals. And Yes, Scotsman is the man....he have got a method down......
