Return of the return of mini LB collanders...
I pisked up the second one today and there was a bunch of green on the bottom where it gets no air flow. Hey, who knew? So I guess it's the end of the road for that.

Ahem, I'm starting to think these aren't Texan. They don't look anything like my other Texans and I am missing a couple of quarts of Haws in my incubator. Anyone seen Haws before that can make a call?

I think you are correct, most Texas I've seen have a really dark red cap. |

I made more prints, one cap was so big, it got stuck in the mouth of a 1/2 pint jar I was covering it with! I had to pop the subs out to get the shrooms on the sides. They looked so weird!

wowow trout really nice pic of that print, u should pm me a larger version for bg cleaning and picmaking. very nice that these LB/Collanders flushed as much as they did! I am always so afraid of contams when dealing with 3+ flushes I don't care if I'm right or wrong, for those are just words. What really matters is why I am right, or, why I am wrong. That, is what learning is all about.

Trout, your grow looks REALLY healthy! I have been thinking about the LB tek for awhile and wondering how it does in smaller containers. Were these colonized in open air and misted? were they fruited in a chamber or just bagged to fruit ala Visions tek? I would like very much to know the details of how they grew. |

Yogi, these things spent their whole lives in perlite tubs. I just fanned them frequently and misted the sides of the tubs. The straw carries a lot of moisture so misting was easy. I never misted the LBs themselves. One of them went green but I am trying for a 3rd flush after dunking the remaining one. If you have any other questions, I'm usually in chat.

Excellent Log! I have seen a few flushes of Hawaiian and Texas both...These compare with my Hawiian but damn...mine were like a third the size! Very nice method!
