hey guys. i placed 2 jars in my terranium yesterday, double cased, they sit on perlite of 2 cm thick. I have an analogue humidity meter but it always shows 80% humidity no matter how long i spray the sides of the rubbermaid. Is there any way that i can increase the humidity level ? any ideas?

Thanx

It sounds like your hygrometer is toast. It should show some change after you mist

when in doubt, add more.
i like about 2.5 to 3 inches of damp perlite, no standing water. that's about 7 cm, over 3x what you're using.
a nice tight lid is also essential.
cheap humidity guages are worthless crap, imo.
get a good one, better yet, get two and compare readings.
