should i gove my jars light as soon as i innoculate or can i just leave them inb the dark until i brith them? what are the benefits/downfalls?

Hippie recommends from the start if growing invitro.

If you are casing, giving light when pinning (after case run) along with a cold shock will result in a larger pinset.

If growing cakes not invitro it is recommended to expose to light at 70%

It will work either way.

after you inject yor jars with spores put them in complete darkness till colonized, once colonized expose to lite.

Invitro is where you colonize and fruit the shrooms
inside the same jar you made with the PF tek.

there's no real benefit in keeping them in the dark unless you plan to crumble and case those cakes, in which case you won't want them pinning too early. otherwise, they colonize just as fast in light as they do darkness, the only effect of light is to trigger pinning once colonization is complete.
