Why not try it and find out? I would bet that it would hold for quite a while, provided no water gathers there. Make sure to press it on really good, espeacially around the edges of the tape. |

I covered a rust hole in my car one time then painted over it. it lasted longer than the car(totalled three months later) but it still held on there. NASCAR doesnt call it "hundred mile an hour tape" for nuthin |

Duct/duck tape was originally designed for use of the US military and due to its water-resistant properties was promptly named 'duck' tape. Just some useless trivia, but should indicate that it'll last long enough for the needs of your shrooms. ed |

i thought "duck" tape came about cuz of the sound it makes when you pull some off the roll. faht |

I was wondering why they called it 'duck' tape... I mean how often do you need to tape up a duck?
BTW humidity IS water |

I thought it was Duct Tape. What ever the name, I know you can fix anything with it. My buddy rolled his ankle last week while we were camping and it made for a pretty good brace. |

Oh I had another friend who went as Duct Tape Man for Halloween one year. He wrapped himself with about 4 or 5 rolls of the stuff. He won 1st place in a contest which put $250 in his pocket. |

duct tape is used on ducts, i.e. sections of furnace/ac pipes used to move heated/chilled air thru buildings. |

But duck tape, the brand, is a direct decendent of technology used by the us millitary on airplanes. Anyway, ime duct tape holds much longer in high humidity environments if it is allowed to cure for a day or two at ambient humidities before being exposed to the high humidity of a terrerium. |

Hip, that had always been my thinking. But one day, in boredom, I stumbled over http://www.ducttapeguys.com/ Now I've seen the light. All praise duck/duct tape (hey, if you're a true believer we don't care what you call it). ed |
