I read a old post in my endless readings in the archive posted by nan that he/she suggested Dunking after the Birth of the cake from the 1/2pint jar PF-TEK style..... Any opinions on that? I just feel as if my cakes don't have enough Water in them. |

cakes slowly turn blue when they're badly dehydrated. Whether cakes should be dunked at birth depends on water content at birth. |

I like to do a short dunk(6-12 hours) at birth regardless..... This will help to balance out any water deficiencies either real or imagined. I've never killed a cake yet by dunking at birth |

So if you dunk after birth do you birth before any pin heads form or do you remove the ones that have started and then dunk? |
