Dr. Andrew Weil a famous natualist M.D. said he thought psilocybin was good for the body as it stimulates the sympathetic nervous system. When a man is a vegetable it's the nervous system that keeps him tickin'. I just found out today that the hepatitis C I've been carrying around for the last 30 years or more is gone! I've been analyzed by many doctors, had many tests and biopsies. My body has done a rare thing and cleared it after 30 or more years. I've been using shrooms seriously for the last two years. Thats like a good dose every two weeks. Before it was more scattered. Could it be the shrooms? I don't drink or smoke anything. Has anyone else had any sicknesses cured possibly by shrooms? Imagine...Medical shrooms..legal.

WOW!!! congrats Nuecrew! Thatís gotta be a great feeling to get those wonderful test results! Seriously that news is so exciting I spilled my beer all over my desk!(didnít get into my mouse or keyboard or anything  ) It would be wonderful to see mushrooms as a legitimate medicine. N Damn man thems 9er tek pic u put up were wonderful!!!!!!! Thx for postin those, I gotta try that tek!
I have a 2 semi-related questions for you(1 is general 2nd is kinda personal, my academic curiosity has me asking it n I completely understand if you donít want to answer as it aint really anybodys business). I donít want in any way to discount the mushroom as a factor in your Ďrecoveryí but Iím curious, have you have been under the care of an acupuncturist or a chiropractor? My second question is do you know how you acquired the virus? There is amazing correlative(so take it with a grain of salt) evidence linking those nervous system enhancing techniques to complete remissions of other Ďincurableí things such like some weird Ďincurableí skin diseases like psoriasis. Iím a firm believer that the body in itís optimum condition is well equipt to take care of itself. Iím not so far as to say there arenít some things that the body doesnít need medicinal help with but it is amazing what the body can take care of itself given the right conditions.
Myself, straight up, Iím an alcoholic, when I can shroom on a semi-regular basis(bi-monthly or so) I find that I wind up drinking a whole lot less. I know that in the past hallucinogens were used in psychotherapy and I think that those are extremely valid techniques. Just my own self explorations & consequences of that have proved to me beyond a reasonable doubt that there is some magic to our favorite mushrooms. On a side note didnít Dennis Peron claim that he used medicinal marijuana to help him with his alcoholism?

That's some very interesting and great news. I would like to think that it's the shrooms...many mushrooms (Cordyceps sinensis and Ganoderma lucidum and others) are used as 'liver tonic'. I've read some of Dr. Weils books and he always states that your body has a healing function, but your body must be in some sort of balance for it to work.
Please let us know anything else you find out...my Mom has Hep C, but I don't think I could ever get her to use shrooms.

hey monkeyod, thx for the link and suggestion.
yea actually iv'e kept up with the threads & links posted here bout ayahuasca and they are most intreguing, thx for bringing it to my attention again. ya know it's one of those things that if i was with the crew i lived with 5 years ago i'd definately be trying it out, but with the world of acadamia & professionalism i'm surrounded by now unfortunately looks down upon all these ethnogens we're trying to find so much out about. hopefully over the holidays i'll get back to my real crew n get one of my brothas to be a 'sitter' as iv'e been told it's a good thing to have one around for an ayahuasca expeience.
guess since others are contributing to this thread have any of you had surprising results from acupuncture/acupressure/chiropractic or even any other unconventional therapies? i like to remain kinda anonymous but lets just say my education has been leading me to a profession focusing on those aspects.

That cracked me up ADB! I have not had any other therapies of any kind. I'm gonna write Dr Wiel though about it and post to some Hep C support sites. There is a reasonable limit to how public I can get. I've inquired discreetly about where some of these shrooms end up at and it's lawyers, doctors, veterenarians and many other professional people who are using these mushrooms! You'd spill your beer again if I told you how these people end up getting them. They appear to be the thinking mans stone of choice. Love to you all, your the BOMB!

Wow, Nuecrew! Congratulations on shedding that horrible, chronic disease! Please let us know what some reactions are on Hep C support sites! Who knows what other medical benefits our friends could bring...

90% of all people waiting for liver transplants are because of cirrosis or cancer caused by Hep C. It seemed to have gotten started during the "big nam". Do you think I'd end up in jail if I opened America's first Hep C/ shroom clinic for the advancement of medical science. I'd have alot of takers I know that. Probably wouldn't last too long. I do want to try it out though. As a cure that is.

funny you guys mention acupuncture (eastern medicine etc) because they also focus very heavily on herbs- and i mean exotic stuff (ghecko, roots, bones, mushrooms, all kinds of stuff) so it is definatly not out of the range of possiblities that what psylocibin mushrooms do falls somewhere along similar lines as their practices. and the illnesses/diseases that herbs are said to cure are across the board (all kinds of things)... so this mention of helping hep C, or other things (not necessarily psychological things, which i def think they also have the potential to help) is certainly not too surprising to me....as i have been exposed to eastern culture/medicine/philosophy my whole life. and yes, i think this is something that we should definatly look into/pursue. how great would it be for this forum to help upstart some recognition of mushrooms for medicinal use. i'd love to see it and help its cause. i just wonder what we could do to pique the interest of those who matter (doctors etc.)??? good thread, lets keep this one movin
