that's great rodger and I can't see an easy way for contams to attack a cloth. Maybe I'll try a hemp and corn burrito myself

I dunno. Give it a try. Want a piece of hemp cloth when I send the t. methyl? I have a few yards. Sew it into a tube and make a log.

They have the blended cotton/hemp cloth shown above. But. . .Check out the hemp fibre!! $7.50/kilogram. I think the hemp fibre would make a KILLER substrate. Mix it with compost or straw and make casings/logs/baskets, etc. etc. I'd like to see a total hemp project. Make tubing for a log out of the hemp cloth, then stuff it with spawned hemp fibre.

Second flush after dunking was a bit better than the first. The blue-green color you see is once again bruising from the hemp covering drying out. There is a bit of trich just getting started over on the right side of the burrito. It isn't green yet, but if you look close, you can see the 'dot' type of white mycelia. That is what trich mycelia looks like before it turns green, and dumps spores everywhere.
