My wife and I saw several beautiful amanitas on the way home from work and just had to snap a few shots.

Waaait... Rodger... you say you have an amanita growing on agar? That is the first time i've ever heard of an amanita growing indoors... Everything i've read says that they will only grow on the roots of certin trees (pines mostly)
Let us know how it works out!

I've heard that too. I might have to spawn some grain and bury it near some trees. Gotta try though. I'm an outlaw. If there's a rule, I consider it my duty to attempt to break it...

Ya know, Amanitas can be eaten in combination with cubensis for an awakening of the 'third eye'. You boil the Amanita for an hour, then cut a slice about 1/8" from the center, and eat it along with your normal dose of cubies...There is a reason Amanita is normally associated with 'magic'.

James Arthur is pretty cool. Some interesting ideas to say the least. I met him at the Telluride mushroom festival in August. He did a series of talks on 'mushrooms and mankind'. He's the one who put me onto the idea of eating amanitas in conjunction with 'other mushrooms'.

Me either....At the seminar he just talked about eating the two types of mushroom. I think the other thing is optional.
