First take one of your jars that has been cooled down after steaming. I used white electrical tape on mine.
Then you will want to lift the tape up on all 4 holes so that you can safely stick your needle in the holes.
The next thing that you have to do is flame the syringe for a few seconds in an alcohol flame until the tip turns red. I was using 91% rubbing alcohol, which left a tiny bit of black resin on the needle, but that's ok. I usually take a paper towel that has alcohol on it and wipe the needle down before flaming.
Next you will want to squirt a few drops of the solution out to cool down the needle, and to get all of the dead spores out that were killed during the flaming. This pic shows a lot of solution being squirted out, but don't worry it was just filled with water so I didn't have to waste spore solution.
Then you stick the needle into the substrate jar as far as it will go with the tip against the glass.
Then squirt .25cc into each hole (1cc per jar) It is only a few drops, but that is all you need, there are hundreds or even thousands of spores in each drop. Be careful, because it's easy to squirt more solution in than needed thus wasting your solution.
Then all you have to do is put the tape back over the holes, and wipe the needle down with the alcohol damp paper towel and put the cap back on and save it in a cool dark place until you need to use it again.
