Here is good news for shroom spores in the mail.

That is encouraging....but, a friend of mine is in the construction business in California, and he just got through building(participated in the building of, to be more precise) a new post office.
Well, he called me in a panic and asked me if he should order a shitload of spores(P.F.,of course) to stock up, because he unequivically saw other workers(whom he talked to directly) installing irradiation devices there.
Isn't their some way to mark the contents of the package to avoid being zapped, Mr. P.F., if this does, indeed, prove to be true on a national level?

The shipping boxes don't seem to be on the hit list for suspect. The boxes are simply opened (two pieces of tape only) and they have a valid return address (stamped).
I think there will be a low risk that the PF shipping boxes will be zapped even if zapping machines are installed everywhere. But I think envelopes (with spore prints) might be very much more in danger of being thrown into the TO BE ZAPPED pile.

Maybe the zapping of mushroom spores will cause mutation, the end result being a monster strain of shroom that will grow 3 feet tall and drip with magic chemicals.... maybe

A "Thank You" for recent quick as always service would also be in order here.
On the subject of irradiation, I think there are far to many things sent every day through the mail for wholesale "zapping". Personally, we order many flower bulbs and other garden plants through the mail each year. I'm quite sure this type of item will be able to carry some sort of exemption as will our "other" goodies.
I suppose there's always Fedex & UPS as well.
Hmmm, "Fedex, when you absolutely, positively need it overnight"!!
20 bucks freight on a twenty dollar order is pretty steep, though. Bet some would bite the bullet and go that way. Mostly people that are way to impatient, me thinks.
