i couldn't help but notice that the mycelium growth on some parts of the cake seem thinner/damaged. the color is noticably different too (bluish spots) but its a little hard to see in the picture. at first i thought it was nothing and that it would get thicker but after a few weeks it looks the same, its like it stopped growing there or something. Maybe this is nothing at all but its my first time growin' shrooms so i figured it'd be good to learn from my mistakes if this was a result of overheating or screwing the lids on too tight and a puddle condensed or something. the mycelium is still growing; the newer parts looks thicker and whiter. if someone could give me the lowdown on this it'd be appreciated.

it's fine... just needs some more time... the blueing most likely is just bruising or drying

I have had a few jars that have had some thin mycelium in some areas but it isn't bad (in my case) , it all looks the same after I dunk. Long as it fully colonizes you shouldn't have to much to worry about.
