gymnopilus spectabilis 'BIG GYM'
BIG - Pwitty - Yellow

Need some help here as I'm totally out of my depth.

Got spores from shroom gathered from wild in Breacon National Park Wales.
Shroom was consumed by mycologist mate and a interesting /good time had by all accounts.

As it's native to here...what suggestions does anyone have......How bout logs?

I've tried looking up what I was told this was ...but all I've found is that it says it's from Japan...eh? This was picked at about 2000 ft in (frigging freezing wet miserable- even the sheep looked pissed) Breacon Nat. Park Wales.
Could the ID be wrong?
