A FOAF has noticed white spots or dots on the caps of his immature PF shrooms that are growing on half pint cakes birthed into quart jars. They also seem to be growing very slowly. What could be the cause of this? Not enough humidity? Too much CO2?

what are your temps at?... that could cause them to grow slowly... i have had white spots on my immature shrooms before and i don't think that they are an indicator of anything wrong, but i could be mistaken

nope, white spots are common, nothing wrong there.

yeah, it's bit's of mycelium on them. perfectly normal. some strains have more of this than others. like these gt's for example,
those white 'spots' will turn into pretty little white flecks on the caps as the grow and enlarge.
