The tropic air is a great device to use especially with a timer because when tweeked properly it requires little to no maintainence on your part. Great for casings or cakes. I have it set up with a timer in the White Rabbit which I sell here:
http://triplehelixspores.com/white%20rabbit.htm
But if you are just interested in the humidifier itself you can find it at some petstores but Petsmart I know for a fact has discontinued this product. I just reduced the price of the Tropic Air $10 though on triplehelix...here is the link:

Tyler,
I've got a Tropic-Aire and was wondering why
the timer? I plan on putting a couple 1" holes
on the top of the terrarium and moist perlite
on the bottom. I was thinking the humidifier
would lay on the perlite and stir the CO2 up
some. What are the symptoms of too much
humidity? The terranium is a small 6 cake
size and has a piece of that "eggcrate" light
cover for the cakes to rest on.

With every casing or cake project you need air exchanges. The humidifier of course allows this but the timer allows you to regulate how many it gets. The whole setup is really for people who like casing teks but hate doing all the fanning and misting etc...
Harry - Were you planning on covering these holes you are drilling with some filter of some sort? Too much humidity is definately bad for casings but since you are using cakes then you have a little more elbow room. I wouldnt put the humidifier inside your chamber, it just clutters up things and runs a higher risk of contamination.
I will probably still have Christmas presents going out with all my orders after X-Mas. Just let me know you are Mycotopian in your order and I will throw happiness in with your package!
:-)

Tyler,
I am going to put some tyvek on the holes. The
humidifier is outside the box, just the wand
will be inside laying on the eggcrate. I am
going for a PMP kinda setup.

If someone would like to trade, I have one of the tropic-aires and a pump and would be willing to trade a syringe for it. Or $10.00 via PAYPAL.

It's practically brand new.

A side thought.....I'll do the deal if someone just wants to donate the $15.00 to the MYCOTOPIA site instead. Once I have confirmation from Hippie that it's received. I'll send it.

I like this deal better anyway.
