Roger, your work always is always amazing--esp the straw stuff. This pic reminds me of a story I heard once in a strange place--told by a strange guy; In part, it is retold in your substrate there. It may not be appropriate in the Photo Section and I will understand if it is moved or deleted: Goes like this: Jesus was walking down the street one day being followed, as always, by those who loved him as a Messiah, hated him as a Radical, had hope in him because he could heal them, or wanted to trap him in a political error in order to arrest him: Suddenly, a women was trust in front of him by the Religious Authorities of the time. Trying to trap him they told Jesus (paraphrase like all Bible stories) 'This woman is a whore and the law says she should be stoned to death. (Stoned here means throwing rocks at someone until they die of the injuries). What say you?' Now, according to legend, not exactly Biblical I am told, Jesus preformed one of the hidden miracles in his Ministry: He looked at the woman, then at the faces of the crowd around him. Slowly, he knelt down, and in the dust of the street he began to write. Legend has it that while he wrote every man present could see there own sin--for which they themselves could be severely punished; looking up, it is said he scanned each face in the crowd and as he did so they knew- he knew- what they had done. After a moment he stood and said to the woman, 'Who accuses you?' Again, scanning the crowd. No one spoke. Looking back at the woman he then said, 'Nether do I accuse you.' ...anyway, I had not thought of that story in along time. Merry Christmas brothers. |

How about a little contest? First person to correctly post how that was done, gets a 'bible print' from that flush. "I feel rowdy and I don't know why. . .Excuse me, while I kiss the sky!" jimi hendrix

Saturate it completely, via soaking or cooking. Sterilize it, in a ovenbag/mycobag, in your PC. Innoculate via live injection off a petri(one could say spores, but i doubt it) or even a agar to bible transfer. Incubated, in the bag. Fruited also in the bag prolly, which was removed for pictures, kinda like a log?

RodgerRabbit, I'd like to go for the Bible Print, so heres how I’d attempt fruiting the bible... I think it might be a good idea first of all would be to add moisture and possibly coarse filtered nutrient tea to the holy bible. Next, severely mutilate the insides of the bible. Seriously mess up the insides- almost hollowing it out, but keep all the paper in there. I'm not sure if it would colonize if it was dense like when new. You could have used just a plain water dunk to help keep contamination at bay, but, I bet if its kept sterile after inocculation you could dunk it in some kind of "nutrient tea". Straw or something tea dunk? Did you use beer too? Grain tea? Poo tea? Everything tea? P.C. for 90 minutes. In front of a flow hood cut up a plate or two of a cloned agar dish. I’d use a quick flusher like Texas as my strain choice. Wedges would then be transferred into random pages all through the book. Maybe a few down in the spine too with those long tweezers. Next, incubate and expose the bag to light until satisfied with colonization. I have no idea how long that would take? I bet you could harvest from the bag with a little fresh air and light or take it out and put it in a rubbermaid with perlite and do the normal mist and fan routine.

I think he used one of his awesome cloned strains. He soaked and sterilized the bible, then closed some spawn(grain) into the Bible and put in a bag or something to hold in moisture and a little light after colonization, Viola! PB |

BTW I think u made cut on the cover to let the shrooms come through like on a straw log when the cuts are made with arrow heads. |

Ok you pc ed it to get it steril , maybe nuked the whole book in honey or sugar water ! then i would guess you used honey or sugar water in a filter bag and shot it up with something that fast growing. |
