I’ve been using plastic lids for years. I use tyvek glued over the holes. I’ve used synthetic filter discs in the past too, either way works.

a few things you should know.

1. Drilling through a lid doesnt work (it didn't for me as it cracked the lid), So, First, I super glued a nail to a base, and then heated up the nail with a blowtorch, and poked holes initially in the middle, then used a drill from there to widen it to the correct size. Same process for using spacers and tyvek to cover the hole. .. Another thing to know is that the process of opening the jar lid to do drop in the agar wedge is a bit differe...

That said, I switched just recently because salt air just eats through the metal jar lids here, and I like it- It's alot 'cleaner'.

You don't need it, I think OR has laws against using it. If you have tons of it around, I think it was 1:4 poo:water??? If it is well composted, you could probably add 1/2-1C to the recipe above. The recipe w/out poo fills a shoebox with about 2"+ of bulk and spawn. How big of a tub are you doing?

I have grown a couple rounds of them. Moved back to photos. More forgiving on their time line which fits my grow style better. Would run them in between for a quick turn around as well

I run 4 blocks at a time, 20 Cups of pellets to 5 quarts of water with 4 cups of Bran or a Cup per Block. Makes 5lb blocks. Basically, a Cup of pellets per LB

tiny samples to judge there, but the ones labelled TT are most likely just that. The others look to be darker on the bottom but if gathered in the same place I would think both were TT
