Yes I don't know what the blue tint is from the pictures, but the mycelium looks healthy from my couch.

Another APE tub?! Damn...
Still waiting on the Pan trays to fully colonize.

The Pan mycelium is poking through.
After adding a deeper substrate.

Just a question about my Pan trays.
All five of the trays are still colonizing and there are patches that are colonized.
Would it be wish to wait until the trays are fully colonized to patch those colonized areas with a casing layer?
This has been a fun adventure fruiting these Apes ( trays and grow bag).
Also, my on going attempts fruiting Pans.
Thanks for all your tips along the way.

Yes, wait till they consolidate to apply your casing layers, unless you already did that at spawning. If so, go ahead and patch or you could end up with some overlay.

This one and 2 others I went ahead and applied a casing layer.
It has only been 6 days since I applied the bulk.
I have 2 more like this that I'm going to wait another day or so to apply a casing layer.

Something still looks off to me, Sam. I have never seen rhizomorphs like that in any pan I have ever grown. The whispy mycelium looks like typical pan myc. but that tight ropey growth screams cubes in my head. I hope I'm wrong here, but I'm questioning once again if this is pan mycelium. Almost looks like a hybrid type of growth or perhaps the spawn from pans and cubes got mixed up and spawned into the same bulk? I am just spitballing here of course.

Keep us posted.

Lovin' it too...
The only Pan mycelium that looks right is from a Pan Jam print I put on some agar and is in the blue tinted jars with wbs posted earlier.

PF has done a lot more work with pans than I have, but that pic in Post #150 sure does look like cube mycelium to me, too.

Anyway, the APEs are badass.

I'm at a loss for words now with my attempts at fruiting Pans.
I know all of my spawn has been made from a M.S. Syringe Pan Combo and Pan Trop. Mishandling or mislabeling with them possibly on my part to some extent but I am sure these Pan Cambo's were labeled Pan Cambo Sandoze.
I ended up prints from a different vendor this time and just started some Pan Jams on agar for kicks and I have two jars that seem to be taking off nicely. I posted in an earlier thread these are the jars that are looking all white and wispy and weak looking mycelium. (blue tinted jars)
I waited till they looked about 30% covered in mycelium to give them a shake to spread the mycelium around.
Now I just have to wait on them to fully colonize and put them to bulk with hopefully better luck.
How could the top picture have that ropey and wispy looking mycelium all at once? It's not cobweb mold that's for sure.
I'm using sterile syringes and new points still wrapped.
Tossed all the reused points and syringes.
Clueless...

This Ape bag has been fruiting well after opening the top and stuffing with poly-fil.
No more fuzzy feet.
