typically hid bulbs are shielded so they do not emit high amounts of UV,(remove glass jacket from hps/mh you would for sure have high levels of UV, but i NEVER Recomend you remove the outter shell of bulb)  your LED is more likely to supply UV, not all manufactures add that spectrum, but some do advertise they do. i am not sure how much intensity of UV it takes to neutralize mold. the sun shine sure does have what it takes.

is good you have it in check now.

as i understand the main science to the use of milk i think has do with it would adjust ph of leaf surfaces to something not so friendly to mold.

i also use the lacto to make fermented plant extracts as well. one my faves was banana ,squash , papaya i used it as bloom booster.

Have some seedlings that sprouted up real fast then fell over. Insufficient light? What might cause this? I have a daylight flourescent bulb on them pretty close and thought it would be enough light. 4b74b28a2fa54cac58cb23c968fdb7ff.jpg

You follow subcool's mix exactly or did you amend it and make it your own?

Bigger the pot the better IMO, I have found water only mixes to run out of juice near the end if I don't go as big as possible...  I would like to hear your opinion on how 20 gallon worked out...

I used SoooHaggards water only soil mix. Not sure if it's the same. Here's his recipe I copied and pasted.

Base-
Premier Peat Moss 30%

Aeration- In equal amounts
Perlite
Verm
Pumice
Rice Hulls

Compost/Humus Source
Coast of Maine Lobster Compost
Coast of Maine Earthworm Castings

Dry Goods

Espoma Plant Tone - 2 cups/cf
Espoma Kelp Meal - 1 cup/cf
Alfalfa Meal - 1 cup/cf
Seed Meals (Chia,Sunflower,Flax All Organic and Ground) 2 cups/cf

Stone Powders

Granite Dust - Sourced locally for free! 2 cups/cf
Azomite - 2 cups/cf

Lime - 1 cup/cf
Gypsum - 1 cup/cf

I mix this together and allow the elements to be cycled by the microbes, and like the posting says I only add water the entire grow.

I am close to harvesting with this mix as my primary soil. I've used 10gal smart pots in the grow room and 20gal smart pots outside with 4 mk ultra. So far I have dosed all the blue dream and pioneer Kush with two waterings of AACT and same with the outside stuff in 20gal pots. So far I haven't seen any signs of running out of nutrients as this super soil is pretty rich so I let it compost in barrels with holes drilled in the sides for 2 months minimum. I have otherwise only watered with RO water since I don't have to do anything to balance the pH and the plants have been thriving. I used to use ffof through the whole cycle and that got expensive. I have to add bottled nutrients to the ffof once I switched over to flower 12/12. That bagged soil is great for vegging but it runs out of juice when they start to flower so I wanted something that lasted longer without having to pH nutrients every time I watered. I'll load some pictures up after I check them out tonight when the lights come on. I try to use the biggest pots I can manage indoors which are 10 gal. I have some blue dream in 5 gal with the same soil that are still all green leaves and not a sign of nute deficiency. I think this way rocks if you're into organic growing in soil plus its a hell of a lot cheaper than buying $20 bags of soil at the hydro store.

How long before harvest do you go water only for flush with your outdoor plants ?

Drop the bulb right down on those babies. Are we talking compact florescent? What is the ambient air temp? I would suggest dropping your light down to a couple of inches over the tops of those babies. Add some support for the stems. When you transplant bury some of that stem it will grow roots.

Good looking buds man nice grow, and log. super soil does the trick. *Follow* looking forward to the harvest.

Hyphaenation, I would flush about 2 weeks before I cut but I've been giving the outdoor plants straight water and rain when it precipitates naturally for the whole cycle besides some compost tea in veg and once in flower. They haven't had any nutes it compost tea in 4 weeks or so.

T0them00N Thank you, Its a daylight spiral flourescent bulb like you get at WM. I should have had it much closer to the plants to start with. Ambient temps are upper 70's 60'sat night.

Pics of the Blue Dream x Stardawg and Pioneer Kush in the grow room. Alot of colas have had to be tied up bc of weight

Shot these pics of the mk ultra after work today. Some close up of the main colas. Put them out beginning of May and I think they are getting close to harvest time. Staked 3 of them with local bamboo by a spring fed pond.

God man that made my mouth water! Looks so good and I am glad that water only growing style appeals to you. Once I got that down well I could never go back to adding ferts. I upsize the pots throughout growth strategically so they are always growing new roots and save the last transplant for right as they go into flower to let them take advantage of that growth spurt that occurs in the first couple weeks of flowering. Brother those look OUTSTANDING! That is top shelf looking pot my friend.

Pics of the indoor ladies. Dreamcatcher, Pioneer Kush, and a couple mk ultra in the Grow Room. Getting really close to harvest. I'm seeing about 30% amber resin gland heads. When do you cut? I'm thinking about cutting when 50% resin glands are amber. Colas are getting so big that I have to tie up branches that fell over due to weight. I put stakes on a few and use tomato cages.

Great stuff, what temp does you DWC water stay at?  Each time I try DWC or hyro I end up with root rot... its been some time however.  I find growing in coco and using hydo nutes does the job fairly well.
