I was a bit surprised it was so far along. But who am I to question results. I broke up 9 half pint cakes in a food processor. Spawned to 8 quarts subtrate with 3% gypsum.

B+ can be insanely aggressive......

shit less than 1:1 ratio I'm surprised it didn't cuss at you when you looked.............

If memory serves me correctly.....50/50 WBS/HPOO was da high speed bomb in a tub....

very nice........I love a frosty rhizome forest in the mists............

That is incredibly fast, man.  But that is also a very good thing.

I knocked up some jars of GT the same time I did these and there still not colonized 100% yet. The B+ had lots of rhizomorphic mycelium in the jars. The GT allot more fluffy mycelium. I did fuck up and made the GT jars dry. They appear to be be stalling so I'll probably spawn them tonight when I get home.

Yeah allot less than 1:1. Nine 1/2 pints is approx 2.25 quarts. I didn't tamp down the cakes (just a few taps on a flat surface to settle the ingredients and there's the 1/2 in layer of verm so lets estimate about 2 quarts to 8 quarts subtrate. 1:4 ratio. I wasn't expecting to start fruiting till about 2 weeks. Now I'm thinking I should start looking for pins this weekend! I'll probably be on a second flush of the B+ before I get one on the GT..... If any at all. I'm not expecting much from the GT but I'm feeling good about the B+. Everyone here's been helpful and encouraging. I'm a better noob because of the community.

Wait, so you like a 1:1 ratio, spawn:bulk?

If I'm reading correctly he's just stating that 1:1 hpoo/wbs colonizes quickly.

Looks like I'm starting to see pins on my cake. It's hard to see in a picture but it looks like a clump of about 5-6. Now I'm starting to get excited! Lol. Either way (not tuting my own hprn) but I really like this picture.

Good post. Sending good vibes your way!
Makes me want to make up some Hippie supercakes. I found a couple of prints yesterday. Wollygong and hillbilly strain. Its been a couple years since I dabbled in growing but I think it's time to round up jars and my pressure cooker.

Thanks for the vibes.
I was thinking of trying those myself, mostly curiosity and wanting to learn different techniques. I really want to take some prints and try my hand at agar/isolation and cloning.
I will be taking some pictures of the 4 B+ tubs I have going tomorrow evening. I'm hoping they'll be ready for fruiting conditions. I also mixed those GT's into tubs on February 28th. I'm going to give those longer before looking as they were slow in the jars.

Ik I'm a bit late been busy. These are my 4 B+ tubs I put them into fruiting conditions on 3-3 the same day I took these pictures. As of this morning I took one down to look at it and I already have pins showing up.

I also took my 10 pf jars of GT and spawned them to bulk on 2-28 I'll take a peak at them this weekend.

My one cake I had going has pins galore! I put it into fruiting the same time I spawned the B+tubs but it's looking like they may produce first flushes about the same time. Wich I find interesting. I'll have more pictures coming soon!

Another look at my cake this morning. Looking good! Lots of clumping. Notice how the pin on the bottom left is lifting the cake up. It's causing it to slowly go off the jar lid.

Will touching the perlite cause any damage?

Took a peak at one of the GT tubs. Looks a little fuzzy. Possibly cobweb mold idk? Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think that's cobweb....I'd check FAE ................IMHO DO NOT spray that beautiful mycelium with any chemistry.................

And your cake is lifting weights there..........nice!
