Unlike Neptune who seems able to succeed with that. I do believe Neptune could also grow an old stick in the dirt if he so wanted...............

Thanks I try my best :)

I did lose a couple of seedlings. But considering that 46 of 50 survived just doesn't impress me enough to call it "difficult to transplant". Not damaging the roots is important with most plant-seedlings (except for cannabis and many nightshades for example from my personal experience), so I avoid touching it. But I must also admit that about 10-15 seedlings lost 50% or more of their roots while I was repotting and still survived anyway...

I will keep this updated and will post what I do the next time I repot.

Peace & love to all

I'm thinking of getting an inexpensive little greenhouse 9.5 x 9.5 x 6.5 tall , $119.99 with shipping.

https://www.amazon.c...7MC2SRGQ0&psc=1

I've had problems growing poppies due to too much rain and thought this might help. Any opinions ?

Yeah, It's to keep my little dog out of the garden. Last year I didn't get anything to grow because he kept eating everything, lying in it, using it as his bathroom....apparently he prefers the soft top soil as opposed to the hard loamy clay that naturally occurs here...

If too much rain is your problem, this might work. But the ground still will soak up a lot of water, perhaps planting near the center of the greenhouse would keep them drier than the outer area.  You could probably get away with a smaller, cheaper greenhouse, and just do some large planters(like 15-20 gallon smart pots).

A few pics , this poppy was grown indoors then moved outside. A potent poppy too.

A pack of semi doubled " peony flowered poppy" with large merlot blooms, grown for food seeds and medicine, sold by Burpee.

I've been watering these every two weeks, usually with seaweed extract and fish fert.

Those poppies look real healthy. They will bloom in long days short nights. Probably bloom when you do a veg run.

I thought Skunkbuddah cultivated them under 12h of light and they just started to bloom suddenly...

My goal was only to grow them to a proper size before I put them out. Which I will in 2-3 weeks...

Peace

I've grown them indoors and put them out worked great

Day 7 (1 Week)
- Seedlings should have emerged/be emerging at this point
- Reduce light schedule to ~12/12 (twelve on/twelve off)

Day 56 (8 Weeks)
- Plants beginning to bolt.
- Change water.
- Lights ? 16/8.

My current working method for indoor germination: sprinkle seeds on peat starters -> soak -> germinate in closed ziplock bag under light -> harden off seedlings by gradually opening the bag until NO MOISTURE REMAINS.

Being under an 18/6 light these seedlings are the same size if not bigger than some of my outdoor ones which were started weeks before.

IMG_6487.JPG
Also a glimpse at just how thin the root structure is
