glad you like the videos of my area. I had no idea how many different minerals we have here :) and the age of the rock ....I think he mentioned the mica here is nine hundred million years old :) really cool ....volcanoes were here two hundred million years ago .... so is this why our granite has fomed? a few diff rocks stuck together by heat and pressure ??

we get pink feldspar, mica and quartz in our granite ..... need to be on the lookout for garnets here :) but some other minerals I have no idea what to look for but its fun learning

I like the nature I wont blow the hill up but I will look b4 and after you do ..... we are tilling this world up but mother nature takes it back ... this area was and still is full of mans debri mother nature covers it up with cycles of life and death and life again ;) I know sometimes the ricks wanna be moved around but I haven't mastered rock talk yet so I don't know if they are completely good with what we are doing to this planet...

gallery_121976_1455_1719466.jpg

....mushroom hunting sucked only a false chant... grrr no water or not much this is a hot hot year .....but playing around with these rocks and smokin a dube hubby was moving some around separating the rocks that have cracked away .... I have a few videos not sure where they went just experimenting with my new camra video....

When I think about big rocks in the area I think of this spot :) .... I had a chance to go there the other day and finally have all the pictures ready to share with you all .... I was thinking about a buddy I havent heard from in a while and wish to share it with him too :)

The walk started out well... I was taking a picture from the bridge and this spider dropped and tried to hide on the bar I had to take a picture ....lately they have been a spirit animal for me lately so a good start :)

gallery_121976_1455_4866.jpg

This is why I say rock hounding is spiritual :) ....This river has had human involvement for over 100 years and mother nature is still roaring strong ;)

Here is another rockhounding vid from wilde's part of the world

more storms and the water level is now higher ;) time to go fishing :)
I dont wanna try and fish with that magnet lol they r talking about who knows what you pull outa the river

great explanations on how quatrz is formed.....more pressure creates less crystal..... less pressure and the crystal can form... we must have had rocks under high pressure as we have lesss crystal structure around here in our quartz veins
