That dude was unique and lived an incredible life. I got to shake his hand outside a show back in the early 90s. He was showing some metal-work and crystals and such at a big display table. I know he ended up moving to Australia for good and died in a car accident there in 2011.
But he was the first acid cook for the Dead and their first sound engineer. When I met him, he said he lived on a diet of nothing but meat.
Anyhow, great stuff, Wharf. Brings back many memories.

Bear was an incredible man. I had corresponded with him via email for several months just prior to his death. I gotta see if I still have those exchanges. He was conversant on many topics and we shared many viewpoints. Except I'm not a 100% meat eater.
