Ok I managed to find out what Tarragon oyster produces, both are aromatic, see here.

Linalool (lol) and coumarin, I cant say which specific versions it makes.

Possible reason is to attract and kill insects, or defenses.

Same oysters but on the chainsaw wood chips, neglected and abused...........then set outside, and now growing in the cold rains......

Spawned as G2 leftovers from the first blocks I did.....which are also still fruiting here

More pins popping...I think I'll take them in tomorrow......

I would clone some tissue from the branching one, you might end up surprised when it fruits.

Those look lovely, very similar to Tarragon but no trumpet cap, yummy!

That oyster is very aggressive and agree clone that bad boy. We already have the genetics backed up in liquid and on agar but it won't hurt to try some agar skills with it.

So the clones we were able to get from the G. tsugae were spawned into wood dowels. Around 300 went into this fresh blow down hemlock tree.

I'm guessing it will take awhile for the mycelium to take over but when it does this tree will only be twenty yards from the road.
