Those white dots could be hyphal knotting. Don't throw that away yet. I'm pretty sure PE is all genetically fracked. Don't be too hard on yourself over that on.

When you say 'genetically fracked' what do you mean exactly?

I find if you clean the bottoms of with a clean toothbrush it makes nice blue streaks come out.  They usually have some vermiculite which is stuck on there that needs to come off.

I mean there's no good genetics left for PE. Sure you can still grow them, but all that blobbing and stuff didn't happen 10 years ago.

Some of these are fruiting at eratic angles.  Coming off the mycelial walls surrounding the colony.

Last couple bins are bearing fruits.  Seemed like I got a fifty percent success rate with the strain.

I've been tossing old blocks out into the greenhouse.  Out of the amazonians, golden teachers, b plus and penis envy only the PE did anything at all.  Apparently the slugs love them.

I've got Hitler, Stalin and Mao drowning in an old coffee can at the moment.  I was kinda pissed they were to big to give to my fish.

I'm starting to develop a theory that less is more in regards to substrate size.  I thought I had it all figured out (mushrooms love it when you think that) so I started scaling up to some pretty large bins.  Several feet long tubs you get at walmart.  Both tubs failed with only a few fruits.  Then I do an experiment on an old clamshell container I got at a coffee shop with a sammich and it produces this giant dick.

Looked like it was probably time to harvest.  Probably should have weighed the small cake too.  It almost looked like the mushroom weighed more than the cake.

If anyone can fit this in their butt I'll let them keep it.

Further confirmation for me that the bigger fruits come from the smaller containers.  This is literally the biggest magic I've ever grown and it was an experiment.

Cause I was running out of materials I took an old shopping bag and put it in a black planter pot and covered it up.  Most of the pots failed with contamination due to them being open to the elements probably but this little pot produced a fruit that will probably dry up to be over an eighth and a half.  I'd need a really special occasion to eat this whole thing.

I also have some B+ and Golden Teachers that are producing huge fruits on small blocks.

Been harvesting loads of fresh fruits.  A few B+ in the last photo on the plate.

Damn.  I ordered a bag of smoke from a legal shop and sat around and watched movies and wrote for like several days straight with little or no sleep.  Had a bowl of these fuckers sitting there fresh and kept eating a small one every hour or half hour.  One day I went for over a day with no sleep then crashed and slept for 12 hours straight.

I seriously feel like a new man.

For as much of a pain as this strain has been it does have a lot going for it.  I've still got a couple bins fruiting and they have been fruiting for about a month.  So I guess once it actually colonizes you have long lasting mycellium.  Of course probably half the bins didn't fruit before mold set in.

It gives a lot of weird fruits too.  I've taken to calling some of these blobs 'Truffles'.  They don't seem more or less strong than the regular fruits.

How much harder to grow is PE compared with (say) GT or AA+?

And is the buzz really worth it, compared with those two specifically?
