For me, I really think he had one of the strongest voices I have ever heard, every time I listen to him, I get the chills, not my favorite musician, but def my favorite vocalist, potentiality of all time, for sure from the grunge scene... his voice in "Hunger Strike" just takes over the song it is so powerful... he will be missed...

    omg yes! just got back into town to find out that not only has one of my favorite vocalist died but he took his own life! still cant believe it! i seen them with Metallica and STP at a Loolapolooza festival.. well i was tripping at that concert so the only song i remember was Black Hole Sun..lol..  but probably one of the last tours they did as Soundgarden before he became Audioslave.. i quickly fell in love with audioslave though.. my favorite song from audioslave and of course we gotta play my fav soundgarden too

 rock will never be the same now

Most sad to see this. To be in a place of great success, fame, and accomplishment, and yet feel like you want out.

I'll probably never understand why this happens.............I write music and play instruments.........

I might even have had a chance at "making it" ................but I know if I did..........I'd already be dead............

There's a big ass band somewhere out there playing unbelievable concerts.............and it's getting larger.........

That or they're coming back as these 5 year old kids playing music WAY beyond their tender years of life..........

Regardless I hope he's now found peace.....thanks for the music brother...........

PLAY ON........Wobble on!

Speaks to the actual "value" of such a state of being.......IMHO

The Spoon man was a Seattle street performer, i was fortunate enough to watch him several times at the Seattle Center. He was a bad ass spoon player, had all kinds, wood metal plastic.. Amazing the sounds he could produce slapping spoons against his body. Sad to see most the local bands i spent my young adulthood listening too have all died, It all started with Andrew Wood (Mother Love Bone) then Mike Star  (Alice in Chains) of course we all know about Layne and Kurt. Someone better put Eddie Vedder in a protective bubble til he gets old. Grunge aint dead but it sure has lost the godfathers.

Too late for Ozzie Nelson, he died forty two years ago.  Ricky's gone too, but Willie's still going.
