....I have the black Doathy rabbit pulling her fur now I have many baskets and they all have a sleeping area maybe have baby rabbits soon
.....they are on the floor in my portch its blocked off and the rabbits can getinto areas I cant so they have safe feeling sleeping areas where they babies can hide so I may have to wait till they come see me
....they are more of a colony now and Dorathy is much happier :) I can pet her now and Mixums is really happy still giving the Dog Po kisses when he sees him lol soo funny Po cant get over the dressor in the way but mixums will stretch up to see Po then run away after a sniff kiss :)lol
....Autom the new Rabbit is getting less shy now she didnt want to hang with the other 2 at first and now shes eating with them and coming out when I come in with food and water :)
.....since the weeds are not as plentyfull now I have the rabbit kibble now LOL and still try and find some treats for them :) with the garden lettuce getting old and carrots and tops beet tops they still get lots of veg
....went to the store today and they get rid of the gross veggies in the morning so if I want these for the rabbits come this winter I will talk to the produce guy hes good when I had guinney pigs before he would load me up with good stuff for them :) so lots of treats for winter too

Miscarriages with Rabbits any info appreciated? Our Autom / Flemish giant has had 2 miscarriages now ....her first litter I thought it was my fault them falling out of the cage but looking at them and this new batch she has has 2 -3 weeks early the babies looked the same no as fully deformed as a rabbit should be ( not showing signs of even a stretch all very stiff) she has not had a proven live litter yet ..... we are gonna give her some time and let Dorathy have her babies she may need the help therefor I dont want Autom prego again she might not have the hormones for Dorathys litter if already prego..... any ideas would be helpful ??
I have been adding info and pictures in my thread... my new best friend showing our animal family :) but we have some rabbit questions so number 1 question Im adding above so people can check it out in new posts ;)

That was a toilet box by the way it worked for 2 weeks with these little bunnies they are lops i think??
I lined it with bin lids and newspaper cleaned it out every day or couple days i only had one rabbit at a time in there first rex and that its the one above multi colored lop? anyway the next little runt here is the runt of the litter of rex's babies so peewee here is rex's son.....
we got him at 5 weeks cuz his mom was prego again and not nursing him anymore she wanted to keep an eye on him to make sure he was eating and growing i had rex already for a couple weeks and picked peewee out then and left him for a week i think and i told the woman that i would have him in my room making sure he was eating we had lots of kibble for him and veg / fruit / weeds were starting to come then but ya anyway she let me have my baby fix ;) shes a mom and her young kids play with these bunnies all the time so they were well molled / loved lmao
|) shadow and the little one are cute but shadow can get a little mean so when the little guy learned his kickey thing lmao the cat ran downt the stairs away from the rabbit lmao :) but rabbits have a good set of claws too i have a few scars to prove it
anyway this is the friends dog he is a herding dog and herds the rabbit into a corner or into the cage here next lmao

and here he is....desil and peewee
and he climbs right in i was watching and hubby was there but he wasnt hurting him at all he was herding with his nose like my dog tiny did with the guinea pigs we had long ago......
I love that look he has right there ^ lol

ok here is now.... peewee is much bigger now he was 5 weeks around Easter so?? i will do the math later anyway he has he knows what to do with Autom the big giant :) that was the funny match Rex and Dorothy were side by side so being cuddle buddy's already
anyway let the big and little have a chance the little one being the guy it wont hurt the momma any extra her being the bigger outa the 2
this is the set up on the new cage sorry i didnt take pictures from the beginning but we dug down a few feet and placed wire down and wire up the sides and put rocks in especially holding the supports for the roof oh and we put the bins in with holes in the bottom so the pee goes out and the lid being above ground so you can clean it out ....
....we had to cut an elm tree cuz it was growing more on my roof then any thing so we used that wood to fill in so the rabbits do not dig and burrow where i don't want them too
....back filled with the sand we took out ....used the rest in the foot paths and around the fire pit ....

So here is the rabbit thing done for now we had to improvise cuz we couldnt get the tarp till yesterday but i got a deal $15 tarp for $5 :) 9" X 11" we will make a solid roof for winter and the tarp is big enough for droping down the side keep the wind off them but where they are they are sheltered behind the house in a cubby and the fence for the neighbor is right there protecting them from the wind so protected all the way around :)
and this is peewee he had so much fun running and digging
peewee and dorathy
shadow the cat checking them out too ...he wanted to be in the cage and he wasnt in there very long its a small cage
