Update

Satreeva  2 had some branches that got messed up in a high winds storm. I trimmed it back a little on a couple arms and tethered it up a bit. I will be shoring it up some more.

post-104353-0-04204400-1502841409_thumb.  She's starting to flower decently , enjoying the 0-6-6. Gunna be awhile in the Sativa-style.

Satreeva 1 keeps on thickening and getting fatter

post-104353-0-06474200-1502845641_thumb.   60 days from seedling ... glorious intentionally seeded bud !!!!

Satreeva 3 is morphing and changing fast. The leaves are very thin and tiny now. Its starting to knot up decently.

post-104353-0-28945100-1502845030_thumb.     Back yard Sativa (?) budding

It's going to take awhile but this girl will have some lovely Sativa-style fox-tails.

post-104353-0-05664500-1502842941_thumb.  There are already a few seeds on the branches I tinkled pollen on to. I plan on hand collecting these.

Satreeva 1 is going to get super fat with buds I hope. The smells keep changing and now kind of peach crossed with limey-vanilla. The hairs are starting to turn slightly pink which is something their mother definitely did.

post-104353-0-66833100-1503022703_thumb.

Especially liking the SCROG ring. This is the first year I've tried tying plants to a cage like this.

post-104353-0-57354500-1503022826_thumb.

Satreeva 2 is for sure the later for for flowering and the the one with the most tall genes. I have high-hopes it will look amazing in October. I might have to take special precautions to protect her in the fall winds.

post-104353-0-47889800-1503023278_thumb.

Satreeva 3 is a real gem. The smell is really exotic and it is second only to Satreeva 1 for stage of flowering. The clusters its forming are quite unique ...

post-104353-0-21511400-1503024071_thumb.

Satreeva 4 is kind of an ornamental ...it is not very deep into flower and ridiculously branchy. It would be better if it had ben started early and maybe even shade/cloaked.

you must have few pot eating varmints there. I was used to having to have deer cages, some rabbit screen, and snail barriers, but the squawcoons got mine this year. Actually I think it was ground squirrels, not the ones that breed with raccoons, but as I never saw them, it was hard to protect my plants from getting eaten.

They ate a circle around the main stems in one night. Next they ate all the green as it withered and fell. They came back the next night and ate the roots. All I had left was 5 gallon pots with nice 2" round holes in the soil.

I have to figure out what it was, and how to keep them out, or grow indoors. They left no sign that could id them.

Oh no, now I have to worry about pot eating animals too.  I thought I only had to deal with Bot rot, bud worms, and the wind.

hyphaenation, are you growing your plants in 5 gallon pots?  Your plants are so green.

The bigger pots are 20 gallon and the bags are about 15 I think.

post-104353-0-53921300-1502511357_thumb.

These pots are huge ... they say "20" stamped on the bottom. I always took it to mean 20 gallon. The large bags are a 1/4 smaller.

Whoa, you are way out of my 3 gallon league.

Comparing my plants to yours, my plants are way too big for the pots.

Screen cage was purely for pinching , bending and tying off to SCROG (Screen Of Green) . These got so big so fast that critters did'nt seem a threat. Can happen though.

Pot-size sure does seem to effect plant shape/size. Certain strains don't really need the bigger pots and stay squat and smaller. Other strains can fill those big pots right up with roots and get correspondingly massive. That's why I like the scrog screen to tether off to and protect from heavy weather,

Last year my strain I grew (from clones) wouldn't even need the huge pots , it stayed reasonable height and I did pinch each one a few times to multi-head...

Next year i would like to put a tall-gene Satreeva up in a swampy area in a huge plasticated hole with drain holes that can wick moisture up.

Update

Satreeva 1

Still budding nicely and fattening up. Weathers been great and plenty of sunshine. I water every second day...

post-104353-0-47424600-1503460001_thumb.

Satreeva 2

She took a spill in super high winds and crashed into Satreeva 1 , even breaking a few budding branches which I repaired with electrical tape and string. Satreeva 2 did't get to badly hurt in the fall but lost a couple branches. Now she's tied down to heavy rocks...

post-104353-0-28692900-1503460033_thumb.

post-104353-0-51618400-1503460164_thumb.   Her buds are starting to fill in and some of her colas are 5 to 6 feet long.

Satreeva 3

My favorite girl's leaves keep shrinking and getting super-skinny. Her long fox-tails are filling in.

post-104353-0-31843500-1503460126_thumb.   Main cola on Satreeva 3 is going to be very epic !

Last one is my own strain cross that is very limey/lemon.

Thanks for stopping in ... not bad for random seeds in a bag of indoor buds eh!?  So happy with this branch of Satreeva (the big budding one you mentioned)  It's hard to image what it would look like without the scrog cage / pinching and bending. Would be one heck of a Christmas Tree. I surely do like it this way though. Saving the lower extremities and re-vegging the whole pot inside for winter is a must ! Started her seed in May and planted a tiny beer cup in June.
