I would love to grow a plant with super skinny leaves.  Your plants look so good.

I am suffering canna-envy.

Some of those pics have that primeval look.  You need some small dinosaurs poking out of the foliage.

This Satreeva 4 pic got buggered up above and I can't edit. Of all the Satrreva seed tests , this plant in its unpinched form looks the closest to my buddies original Satreeva mother plant.

post-104353-0-57708700-1503801159_thumb.

Dipole ...you getting jelly of a weed grow is like the twilight zone alt-universe ... I spent YEARS mystified by your weed grows as have many. Glad good old Cannabis grow impresses you. The pendulum doth swing...Cannabis is the gift that keeps on giving. You can even enjoy it remotely without even ingesting it per se.

I would love to grow a plant with super skinny leaves.

This strain goes through some very dramatic/Jurassic leaf thickness changes. Most Cannabis does that during flowering , but this Satreeva can be extreme in it's per leaf width change from  its fatter start to super-skinny late flowering. Like I said ... I only got introduced to it in late August and it was already super-thin. Then I planted the seeds and they all started out fat and big and got thinner and thin.

Not to sure...playing it by ear. A couple few weeks for the early stuff. The later stuff early to mid oct.Things are budding up faster now so each week they go deepeer. I will let them go to the very end a week or 2 later then I normally would because they are all still developing seeds.

Yah I'm really happy with that White Grizzly cross from late planted seed. Smell keeps changing from limes , lemons , skunk. Definitely stanky...and with many large seeds on board already. The Satreeva seeds are tiny compared to these.

Here's a couple pics of the Grizzly cross. In the first pic the back one is Purple Grizzly and front one White. The purple pheno gets really huge buds and is taller. In the second pic it shows White Grizzly cross with Satreeva 3 above it and Purple Griz barely in view.

I went today and carefully picked mature seed from every plant ! First I made a paper lunch bag for each clearly marked. Each plant was sprinkled with pollen earlier in this thread in two passes. There was not many buds on most them earlier , just hairs. The later pass with pollen is now fattening up the buds of most of the Satreevas with seed but they will take a couple weeks to fully develop.

On each plant , below each set of buds there is that fat caylx with two hairs sticking out. In that spot , even on the late blooming tall plants there was a dark seed inside each caylx , usually one on each side of the stalk. I got good at handpicking them by looking for all the slightly yellowing ones below bud sets that also had a crack in the caylx being pushed open.

Most of the Satreeva seeds are very small and dark. Not all though , Satreeva 1 has a bigger size so far compared to the others and is similar in size to the Grizzlies which are about medium to large. The ones that are forming in the buds of the Grizzlies seem to be getting fatter. I'll keep collecting any mature low-hanging seed over the next few days.

The reason I'm doing this , besides observing there are ripe seeds on each plant  is that I want to preserve these strains so bad that I need some kind of insurance that I can keep it alive no matter what goes down in the next month. If all goes well I will have copious amounts of seed and I still hope to possibly take clones but life jumps up and surprises you and now I have to go away for 2 weeks and set up some kind of a gravity fed drip irrigation. We still are having 100 degree heatwaves for weeks and i had been watering every 2 days for months.

Should all be good. Will be all good.

Well the time came to go away for a few weeks and it couldn't come at a worst time as far as plants in the yard...middle of a months long heatwave with zero rain and some of the plants are getting closer to harvest time. The reason I can let them go further then I normally would is because they are seeded. I don't want a whole bunch of partly-formed seeds.

The magic ingredient is lots of water on hand and a partner/friends that can come every 4th day and saturate them good and watch out for tip overs etc. I'm so thankful for friends who offer to help in times of need like this!

These will be the last pics of some of my girls who might be harvested while I'm gone. It would be nice to let them go until I get back but I'm not sure if its feasible. The weather is suppose to change and the long overdue rains are suppose to arrive with a noticeable temperature drop.

The leaves are still fairly green and most of the plants are getting flush water only now. The taller Satreeva's are getting a time-released Gaia-Greens bloom powder...

I'll update this post with more pics as soon the patchy wifi I'm on cooperates.

Satreeva 1

Super stinky and thick with resin...

Satreeva 3
.
She keeps filling in her long fox-tail buds. The smell is very exotic... Love her so much. She will still be budding for some time after I get back.

Making seeds are great but cloning is the best way to preserve the special genotype

You got some beautiful plants with the classic sativa look, I can't wait to hear about your smoke report

Yah I still hope to resurrect some clones off the plant bottoms in a couple weeks and even if possible re-veg the stumps of the best of the best. At least I know that all the males I used for pollen are from strains able to finish in my climate so most of the crosses should also do decent.

I loveeeee pictures, worth a millions words and tell a lot! your outdoor grow is amazing and the grizzlys are looking fat and filling in nicely I cannot wait to hear about the smoke report on this, have you tried prior before trying your hand at the strain? Supper thin leaves, gonna have you blasting off with a super sativa! possibly some land race genetics in the mashup? those leaves and views looks like an episode of strain hunters by Greenhouse Seed's! R.I.P. Franco! still going great!
