I am looking to buy a pressure cooker to use for mushroom growing but there are so many on the market I really don’t know what to buy. Should I buy electric or not. What size is good and what’s the best make? I am in the uk and I want to keep expenses down as much as possible (under£50 if possible). I appreciate any recommendations or advice . Thanks Dropski

I'm not sure about availability, as I'm in the US, but generally for our hobby uses, a Presto stove top model is considered the best deal for the money by many. They reliably do the job they were intended to do, and wont break the bank trying to purchase one.
Now if you wanted a Cadillac, I would say All American, but they are better then twice the price for the same size unit. And I think availability might also be an issue with the AA, being across the pond and all.

Cheers back at ya friend :)
The 23quart seems to be the model they push, and it is often the same price or cheaper then their smaller units. It is also a very nice size for our hobby.
The smaller units can be a pain if your trying to process a lot of jars.
