Hello to all,

As usual I am on Name Correction patrol regarding  the proper placement of species into their genera.  Under discussion is the Genus Copelandia Bresadola.

First a picture of one of six tiers in a singer cell grow room at Fresh Mushrooms of Tiel, now known as Truffle Magic (formerly, Fresh mushrooms of Tiel).  This place use to produce 20,000 kilos of Copelandia cyanescens a month, marketing to more that 250 - 300 Smart Shoppes a month and each shop on Friday and Saturday evening would sell approximately more that 300 individual doses a week,.

and here is one of their one fresh dosage packet product of Copelandia cyanescens which is the correct name of the species, not Panaeolus cyanescens

A small group of Copes left after major harvesting.

And here is the paper from 1979 from the Journal of natural Products on the New Species of Copelandia. See the comments marked in red for Singer's words on the genus, Copelandia.

WEll that is it for me tonight. I hope all enjoy. I just posted several never before posted images from my trips to the Nederland to document their successful businesses at growing entheogenic fungi.

Happy Holidays to all and to your loved ones as well from me.

It seems like every time I turn around someone is changing the taxonomy on some mushroom. I can't keep up anymore.

Very cool, thanks for sharing! I love these mushrooms.

So let me get this straight...this species was once referred to as Copelandia cyanescens, was then re-classified as Panaeolus cyanescens, and is now re-classified as Copelandia cyanescens?

Wow, amazing pics!  How gauche of me to just now be finding this post.  (Thanks Cats  )

It's really cool to see how they will fruit just the same in substrates that are feet and yards across  I wonder if there are any chemical messengers that travel through feet and yards of mycelium.  Thanks for the perspective MJ!

@mjshroomer, can you shed some light on Psilocybe hoogshagenii ? Where does the semperviva part come in and has it been discarded? Or is that the variety or substrain?
