I have not been composting with black soldier flies, no. Why would you want to?

What I have heard though is breeding black soldier flies, collecting the maggots, and using that as fish food or a high protein thing.

There is a company that does this where I am from, that collects food scraps from restaurants, breeds the maggots, and sells them to fish farms.

I hadn't heard of it before, but after a little research via goggle, I'm intrigued.

Are you thinking of trying it Psy?

Those little bastids are why I add DE to my  substrate.

Fuckers will turn substrate into brown goo in about 3 days.
