From USA Today https://www.usatoday...icy/1003183001/

WASHINGTON – The Justice Department sent a shiver of uncertainty through the now-thriving legal marijuana industry Thursday by rescinding Obama administration policies not to interfere with state laws allowing people to use pot for medical and recreational uses.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions characterized the dramatic policy shift as a "return to the rule of law" in a memo outlining the change. But federal officials could not answer whether people selling or using marijuana – in certain states where it's considered legal – would now be more at risk of prosecution.

Fuck em.  The bad news is that this is likely to cause banks to cool on pot businesses and make them rely more on cash.  That means more armed robberies and break-ins for stores and dispensaries (by those on both sides of the law).

The good news is that the feds aren't going to spend much if anything to chase after personal amounts and small timers.  I think the average home grower is still going to be OK...

Anyone making bets on Mike Tyson beating Beauregard Sessions?

I'll put my money on Mike and his 40 acre pot retreat.

LOL!

I'll just say I don't think the former senator will make 3 rounds.

As for Mike, I hope it works out for him.

Are any of this administrations positionarys, even close to what they are supposed to represent?

Do any of them stand for anything except what serves their own personal gain? Why would we trust a single one of them to uphold any position they may have stated yesterday? Why would we expect them to not try to impose their archaic, out of touch with reality, or sway one iota toward the majority will of the people they are supposed to represent?

I say yank them all out of their privileged isolation, and throw them to the wolves to be devoured.

I have never in my life held the level of total disgust I have for this administration and every one of its cabinet and positioned members.

(Did I say how much I try to avoid even reading about the ongoing decay of this present governmental state?)

It's the Dems' cheating that gave us this administration because they'd rather lose to a Republican than win with a progressive.   The power in the Democratic Party is with those so-called leaders in the party who receive the most financial support from the corporate sector.   The corporate sector funds strong Republicans and weak Democrats.   This is why today, the only talking point the Dems have is, "we're not them."    The truth is, they are just the polite version of them.   When asked for what they offer, all they can come up with is empty platitudes, while the common good of the people is never effectively addressed.

The corporocracy is a psychopathic governmental entity.    If you've ever had to deal with a psychopath in your personal life, you will have some idea what we're up against on the state and national level.    The corporocracy selects who rises up through the party ranks.    I would look for whatever changes this seesawing from impolite corrupt government to polite corrupt government.   Corruption of the whole process is the problem.    Both sides are the problem.

While I totally agree with you, please don't feed this garbage to the wolves.

I read recently that states with legalized marijuana intend to fight this tooth and nail:

https://www.cbsnews....marijuana-memo/

From the above article there is this hopeful quote:

...legal analysts tell CBS News that it will be difficult for federal prosecutors to get cases tried and convicted in states that don't want legal marijuana snuffed out.

Who gives a fuck? I think I'd be just as happy if it went right back to how it was before medical in my state, and just being an outlaw again! It don't mean a thing except to the few who're pitted to make millions. It's all bullshit! Fly under the radar and just don't get greedy, or blatant. FTW!

I don't think Jeff Sessions is rattling for effect. He is very anti pot, and this is a big thing for him.
His prison for profit(AKA privet prisons) buddies don't like loosing all of those no violent offenders, they were easy money for them and a lot of it.

I don't know how much headway he can make, but he's going to try for as much as he can.
