My point was that you might want the URL to stay the same, but swap out what it points to - which I am not sure you can do here. That way if people pass around the URL outside your control, it remains up to date. Sure you can update the link, but if someone has already coppied and pasted it, it's too late.

I'm not sure I follow, but I want to... this thread is pinned, so if people link the thread it should stay good for a long time.  If they share the hyperlink to the file itself, it will probably go bad when I update the PDF.  Like you said, I don't know if I can do much about that.  You can still find it by plugging "Magic for the Masses" into a search engine, though.

Here is a stationary link to “Magic For The Masses”
https://mycotopia.ne...tach_id=1149753
When you update the file, add content or make any edits return back to the first post in this thread and remove the old one and add the updated version. It is not quite as what Pink is describing, but as close as we get with this version. Everytime you upload a new version the site will assign a new URL so the link I posted ^ above will be broken as soon as you do an edit to the file in the OP. But at least your link in your sig line will have an updated version always and you can share are already sharing that. If someone copy and pasted the URL of the file like I did above to share it that link will be broken after an edit.
Select each of these to compare.

Magic For The Masses
Edit I just reread and see that you got it Sidestreet but decided to leave this posts for others to understand to share a link to the Original Post rather than the file itself.

Thanks Coors and Pink for bringing that to light.  <3

It's up over 100 downloads, woohoo!

Also I have steaming pictures to plug in so that part can be updated.

Let me know if anything needs to be changed. I posted it over at that other site and of course they are doing their best to tear it to shreds. I pretty much expected it, but they might actually help me make it better.

I'm gunna hijack this for a brief second. I wrote a quick agar guide for beginners to reference so that peeps ain't gotta wade through 30+ pages on one of my four agar threads:

https://mycotopia.ne...izes-agar-agar/

Cool, I'll take the bump!  Actually, if anyone wants to come here to post choice threads like that one I wouldn't mind at all.

It's just a little bit ridiculous that I've never done agar work before.  It's gonna need to happen so I can put it into the guide at some point!

I love it Sidestreet ....  Great work

One note ....  on the dosage pages you don't make any reference your talking of Dry Weight.

Again ....  Great work.

Thanks Yosheba.  I mention dry vs. wet in passing but you're right, it probably needs to be in there more than once!

I find it interesting that people avoid agar. I started with agar and a print, and had no idea what a spore syringe was. To this day, it is still my favorite part. Well, beside watching subs explode. Once you do it, you will wonder why you ever waited so long. I am looking forward to your write up on it Sidestreet.

^yeah. Clean agar made into liquid innoculant is my preferred means now. Still to get into transfering really.

I dunno, maybe I started associating agar with needing a flow hood.  But it looks like a glove box will be enough.  Thanks for the encouragement!

If you put 1 gram of agar per 600L into your liquid inoculant before PC, it thickens it up just enough to coat your grains, and not have a problem of any pooling in the bottom of the jar.

I just made oatmeal / potato / maple syrup agar for a bit of Canadian style cloning....

Took to agar:

- One pin floating on the tub wall attached by umbilical mycelium

- One spider-web of thick mycelium climbing up the tub wall
- Three clone-chunks from the bases of a multi-fruit clusters

Used small PF-style glass jars and larger PP5 tupperware containers as the agar vessels.

Hoping to get good growth on agar and then introduce sterilized grain , colonize and milk for LI and/or G2G & repeat. I have always tended toward multi-spore grows and like the diversity some sub-strains of cubensis give in it (like Redboy). It's hard to say whether a great canopy fruiting from a spore grow is any better then a canopy fruiting from a clone but after growing from spore so many times I know this strain well enough that I can tell if a clone from a big clustering does any different or better then the last many spore grows. What I'd like to see is vigorous fast colonizing and big pinsets that don't abort with minimal babying.
