I hope this is in the right place. How do you achieve uniform growth with monotub? Mine pop up willy nilly whereas I've seen pics of grows where there is a canopy of cubensis umbrellas.

Uniformity is key. If you can provide a uniform suitable environment throughout the tub with uniform genetics, you'll get a uniform canopy. The ideal case is to grow a clone in a tub with constant humid clean air flow. Since this is nearly impossible for the closet cultivator, the next best thing is to grow a clone in a very well ventilated tub with either polyfill fiber or microporous filter patches over every hole. You need holes at substrate level to leach of carbon dioxide, as well as higher up to allow clean air in. Lastly, the top lighting needs to be uniform also.

Let me know if anything needs to be changed. I posted it over at that other site and of course they are doing their best to tear it to shreds. I pretty much expected it, but they might actually help me make it better.
Don't make me register over there and dismantle every single last one of them.

Hey folks! For the last month or so, I've been on the boards a little bit but mostly what I've been doing with my computer time is this:
I have run out of likes or I would have liked this document! I can tell a lot of work and care went into putting this FAQ together. And it has not gone unappreciated! Fantastic work! I am not sure why it has taken me so long to find this since I have been here over a month but thank you very very much!

Sidestreet! I love this, any chance there is a more printer friendly version though?

There is a link to download a PDF if you wish. You can control your print preferences that way.

I am close to my first experience with shrooms. I have never grown them or used them so all this will be a first for me. Any pointers or help would be appreciated

Your mindset and your surroundings ("set and setting") are very important to your experience. Do it when you're looking forward to it and things in your life are generally going well. If you're tripping inside, clean up your space before you get started. A little preparation will go a long way.
Your experience can range from a mild buzz to immersive, depending on your dose. One gram is usually mild, and five grams is a heroic dose. You may not want to go hard your first time out, but there are those who say "go for it." I think it's better to wait until you understand what you're working with before you eat a large dose.
You can also color your experience by going into it with different intentions. Are you trying to party or seek insight, or something else? I'm not saying one is better than the other, but only that you might have a different experience based on what the goal is. Or maybe there is no goal; that's fine too.
I bet you would get a lot of good answers if you posted in our Storming the Gates forum. Also, try reading through some of the other threads in there.

As a new member and mushroom enthusiast that was searching for information on how to handle liquid cultures along with cloning. I can say this is the easiest info to follow out there ( at least that I stumbled across thus far after numerous hours ) and I would like to thank you. It cleared up a few questions I lingering in the brain bank for a month now, so again I thank you sir!

I run outdoors in a big pot. The first flush was really good. The pot was full of mushrooms, they deformed in such a density. When I picked them under them there were a lot of little mushrooms. And more are emerging.
But they do not develop to full size. They remain small and mature.
The strain is Mexican and the mushrooms aren’t big, and now they’re really too small?
What is the cause and what can I do?
Thank you

I can give you my opinion. Keep in mind it is just that and I am not very experienced. I typically do not grow anything outdoors so I can only comment on my indoor experience. I know that flushes end when nutrients in the substrate are expended or conditions are not correct for another flush. I also know that some species are super slow to fruit. These are possibilities but I am sure there are other factors that I am unaware of.

I think that nutrient content should be ok. There is 1:5 spawn to substrate and substrate is- 50% hpoo, 30% coco coir, 15% verm and 5% gypsum.
This time i used casing for the first time. Is that part of the problem?
Moisture in sub? FAE?
