Good Evening my fellow peeps.

It hath been many moons since I appeared here. Glad to see you. Special shout out to Captn'!

My neighbor has been growing these cactus for 40 years. It's along the sidewalk for public taking. I actually knocked on his door and he was more than happy to share but he didn't know what he was growing (he said "post something...." ). i took photos!

P.S., Here's my small san pedro collection at home. it truly needs a more permanent home...they are obviously overwatered :(

That is the predominant cultivar of Trichocereus Pachanoi.

I'd guess  18 inches of one of those columns cut close to the ground where the plant is the oldest would be enough to change the way you think about things :)

Nice find. Looks like he gets flowers from his. That is one of the rewards of taking the time to grow these things out in a climate that will permit flowering. They look and smell gorgeous.

With only 2 reviews of "thumbs up" - i can only assume I DO HAVE SAN PEDRO NEXT DOOR from me? Awesomeness. I'll be brewing some tonight! Any suggestions? My first time. I assume 12-15" per person? I plan to brew for 2 hours.

I was kinda second guessing myself that there could possibly be an imposter San Pedro that could end up getting me sick/indigestion.

I would suggest going with a larger portion, more like the 18"pharmer suggested. Also 2 hours is not much time to get what you want out. Brewing usually takes me most of a day to get 3 extractions. This is a simple tec that is easy to follow.

You don't want to toss out most of the actives by trying to rush the process.
