#1 do not try and sprout seed packages that are not sprouts they may have chemicals on them fungicide etc??
#2dont buy lentils in a tiny pack when you can go to the soup bean ile of the store and get more then a couple expensive choices cuz dried beans are dirt cheap :) and will sprout and do not have chems on them cuz they are already food grade :)
so this year I have already sprouted red lentils and chia seeds haha thee cats enjoyed the grass lol too they were good
now I have pinto beans I think the white and speckeled black ones the size of a kidney bean ....they have grown a root yesterday and leaves growing tday :) can eat them soon they are still a little short ;)
I have used flat plastic tray and soaked them with plenty of water the first 24hours and after that water and rinse them I use a dome lid if its way too dry but usually a watering daily and rinse daily or every 2nd day is working fine
ets hear what others are doing sprouting this time of year is perfect cuz seedlings here get too stretchy yet so sprouts this is good news :) so lets hear your sprouts or see if ya got the pictures to share I will take a picture now that im thinking about it to share my little sprouter ;)

Sprouts are yummy, but I never understood the canned Chinese Mung bean sprouts.
What a silly idea.

A friend of mine sprouts all the time she uses a jar and cheese cloth or clean panty hose over the opening .....so you can soak and rinse daily easily.....place jar on side near a window so seeds can sprout.

Broccoli is delicious in a King Oyster stirfry. Its my fav. veg. (apart from poppies)
ED: Canned sprouts is a bit like canned mushrooms. Yes, but only if you absolutely have to...
