Had a couple of subs go green during spawn run. Don't know how or why.
So one got buried in the garden and had a metal frame with mesh placed over it to keep critters out.
Never really expected to see anything come of it because it was really green. :(
After a bit, trich formed heavily on the surface of the soil. This was sprayed occasionally with rubbing alcohol and watered infrequently.
Much to my suprise ( I thought it was dead), a little cluster of shrooms appeared one day.
I like the way you can see the mesh on the caps. Kinda like shrooms under the grill. :D

Damn trich!!

Do you think spraying some rubbing zlcohol on a slightly infected casing would help?

I have a pile of old goat shit/straw in the backyard, I plan on putting my mostly spent cakes in there. Some free outdoor mushrooms would rock.

Speaking of green, I had a jar go green at 95%, but then the mushroom myc ate the green and now it's one of my best producing jars. I'm fruiting it invitro away from the others.
