I've neglected to feed my cacti in the past, but I intend to do better this year.  Currently I've got a bottle of some 1-7-6 "Cactus Juice" fertilizer with added calcium.  Says cactus on the bottle, so it's got to be good right?

Alternatively, I've heard that our pee is great fertilizer when diluted with ~10x the same amount of water.  Seems like maybe it would strengthen the bond between us and our plants too?

Even better, fresh cow pie

Some people swear by low N ferts like your cactus juice, may keep em tough.

May also depends on the type of cactus, and your goals ofcourse.

In many cases i'd expect balanced fert to give most biomass

If that is a way you can bond with your cactus more power to you two. I would say it's a good idea to dilute it so that is good. But fertilizer it sounds like you have a solid fertilizer, is it derived from meal or is it synthetic?

worm casting tea and cal-mag... put a cup of worm castings in a gallon of water and about 10-15ml of cal-mag. im sure any cal-mag will work but i use emerald harvest, its a hydroponic nute but can be used in water to feed ypur trichos which love high calcium/magnesium
