Thanks guys. We are going to try and start building our home in about another year or so. I am dreaming of moss gardens, mushroom gardens, regular gardens, and a nice little quaintly shaded green house. Its a long road but we will get there. I'd love to have a topia bash one day. That would be the shit.

Congrats man! That's my dream too.
Best of luck and enjoy all that physical labor getting what you want from the land.

Well done Amigo, but of course we never really own land.
I am glad that you have become the caretaker of this spot.
Mycotopians make good stewards of the earth.
Keep us posted on the evolution of this garden.
P.S. One more thought. Put time on your side by starting out with some long term benefits, such as nut trees, fruit trees, raspberries, asparagus and other things that will anually produce food.. One days labor, plus thiirty years growth, can result in increased joy and tasty food every year. You will begin to grow closer to your land as you anticipaate each year's new bounty. I am getting a contact high just thinking about your wonderful purchase.

Thanks, guys. Your absolutely right Spooner. We never really own the land (thank god). I will be a great steward and caretaker of this pretty little spot and hopefully pass it into the future barely unchanged.

I'll post some more pics later. There are some great rock formations. These are some of the oldest mountains in the world, supposedly.

Pics of Rock formations, small cave, and woodland grass. These rocks use to be the sediment at the bottom of the sea floor. You can find a lot of ancient worm and reef fossils.
Edited to say...damn, beers are good.

Definitely lots of moss. There is a little standing water at the bottom of the opening in picture 6. I hear there are a lot of old wells dug in the area. I guess we will see if I have any substantial subterranean water.

Very cool! I had big plans for my little 1.3 acre plot of woods when I bought it, it was at the end of a long dead end dirt road and was secluded as hell. But then within 6 months they knocked down all the woods next to my property line and built a bunch of 3-400,000 dollar houses 8 feet apart and ruined my plans. Never really did bond with this place and follow through with those plans and it shows. Enjoy it and make it what you want because life passes amazingly fast, and this has to be a priority to make it happen. Good luck with your new place.

Very happy for you man. Can't wait to hear any updates
Still dreaming the dream over here, really need to get out of areas where I can't afford to buy a parking space much less a few acres.
