New house.... Do over

So far this year I raked the leaves and had two trees cut down. One was a pine leaning into the house at a serious angle and the other was a 2+ story mulberry "tree".
I grabbed 4 bales of hay from neighbors who were tossing them from Halloween/Thanksgiving. I'm using one for kale and one for spent oysters.
However that still leaves the majority of my land free...
My intention is permaculture.. Pics to follow.
any ideas are welcome.

This is the driveway side. I have a bout a foot - foot and a half of grass on his lawn.... I dont like him, because he doesn't like me. I don't want to plant evergreens bc he hates them but I don't like his camera pointing down my driveway... With audio....

Forsythia grows fast, makes hedge 5-10 feet high and blocked an annoying neighbor from my sight in a couple years.
Beautiful blaze of yellow every spring, and once established it grows like a weed.

Oh the fence(his fence) is already an issue. The month we moved in.. We got "You're gonna fix my fence right?"A tall cedar fence would provide instant privacy. You could ask him to pay half the costs
so he probably won't be helpful

But it sounds like he wouldn’t mind a nice high fence between you. That’s positive.

I would have answered yes, and then asked him to give me a heads up on when the materials would be delivered....

problem is in NY if I fix it, I'm "taking responsibility for it" and it becomes mine. Which normally I would not care about. But the whole thing is crumbling..... And he has 3 dogs who want to eat my puppy.. He patched his side with a piece of lattice board but I have a 10foot 2x4 holding up his fence... If I remove it, & my pit bull gets into it with his dogs, I can Almost guarante He will call animal Control and place blame on the pibbleI would have answered yes, and then asked him to give me a heads up on when the materials would be delivered....Oh the fence(his fence) is already an issue. That stump in the yard should make for some fun log culture. Do you plan to inoculate it once it dries out for a season or two?

they were only 2 towns away from my home town. Really bad descriptions of who we are around here.
Myc, we plan on using the pine stump by the walk way for a table base.
However at the bottom of the stairs there was a giant mulberry tree(bush) that is cut to the ground. Unfortunately now that the mulberry is down, there's no shade there... So I'd have to construct something.... Which would make it obvious that I'm mushrooming. Of Course oyster and mulberry are sexy together, no?
