It has been warm and dry I barley have rain water left to water with :( hoping it rains soon but the forcast is not promicing any yet...
I fed everything with a coffee fertilizer ....stale coffee and mollassas a bit of cabbage to get a ferment going
ok whats in wilds garden this year? Tomatoes and fancy tomatoes :)
zuchinni and cucumbers which I will mix with cabbage to make a fermented veggie with some dill I have growing too :)
a spicy lettuce mix WOW! some are hot my Aunt said theres arugula in there does it have a purple stem? I have one that looks like radish tops too its hot as well
potatoes i wasnt gonna but I had a half a bag of sprouted ones so dig a hole ;)
strawberrys and :) finally have crab apples on the tree :)
oh ya my fav PEAS! snow peas and Alaska peas they are alreaady a foot tall holding on to the grass cuz I hvent tied them up or puled out the grass yet so its woking till I string them up today hoping
carrots .....I planted 3 new herbs and thoes mini roses in the waterfall rock garden ....ah... sage and lavender and a white lavender?? never seen it in white
I have a property that is a 1/4 of an acre all front and side yard no back yard so I have hedges didnt take me long to do them :) numbered one would be proud He gave me mulch idea with the young trees and shrubs Thanks buddy
My plans are edible or medicinal or usable and eventually I will get rid of the grass and have a trail threw the garden ....I started with a blank slate kinda lucky with all flat land but it had nothing on the side with the spacy yard didnt take me long to have flowers planted from the neighbour ...talk over the fence close neighbours but they :) were xtra grandparents for the kids thier grandkids were out west so they didnt see them so my kids got spoiled lol and so did I with all the spreading flowers from her garden went into mine
Sorry I was blessed with a lilac bush purple my fave well its so old it takes up the far corner of my yard beautiful in full bloom now that the younger spreading bushes are big enough to have full bloom of flowers this year :) Lots of people cut them back in thier yards to have more room ...well thats a shame cuz they are pretty and the bush does hide alot nice and thick ....
....anyway back to gardening :) I have young men to help me dig this year or id be container gardening but it is better in the ground if you can weed it
....the boys are helping me water too :) I couldnt do it without them thanks boys :)

HAH! If you have found young men who are willing to do it you had better hold onto them. I can't get my nephews to help even with a fistful of money dangling in front of them. They would rather play on their games.

Here's a start to the swamp grass that flowers collection :)
Blue flag
and I need to get a root off my friend :)
here are some garden Iris this pale yellow one is from my grandma my first to start the collection
these beetles are eating many of my flowers ...they are my white single rose bush last summer and its dead now ...but there is sucker growth so I may get a nice bush again
I have a white one too but missed it flowering it was the first to flower...my mom needs a root of the white one I need to mark it cuz its growing with these ones this purple is an old color one of my moms first iris to collect
I don't know if in the long run they can put up with this grass or not the wild ones look to thrive in it actually stopping the grass from growing . The garden variety the grass grows over them making a mess to get the root out or uncovered like they are soposed to be??
this was the rose bush the beetles killed
:) I love the purple and the yellow together ....yellow day lilies and the wild blue iris
I got a new one this year just pure dark purple beautiful I didnt get a picture of it tho ? cant remember it was blooming with the white one early :) that would look nice too white and dark purple ....it dosnt work if they bloom at diff times ;)

I like the nasturtiums! Do you ever eat the flowers?
Ive eaten the leaves but yes the flowers would make great salad color :)
I need to take anothe r picture of that the yellow flowers are full bloom with the orange :) with the purple nd blue flowers they look really great :) ....my son wanted a plant for his room so this winter he can babysit the african violet (dolphin violet)
the tomatoes I almost killed in this heat ( leaving them unplanted for too loong without water)
anyway they are doing better then the other ones I planted long ago except for the bigger tomato I payed more money for thoes big tappy tomatoes are almost starting to ripen :)
anyway there is finally tomatoes :)
all the feeding (coffee and coffee grounds and a fermented comfrey and wee fertilizer) and watering I did is gonna pay off
the kale I got for cheap I think had worms on it cuz I seen worms on my igger kale and they were not there til I planted the others beside it ....I had big leaves big enought o wrap meat in and well they went all to the rabbits (can rabbits eat worms??)
I also had some weird worms / catterpillers that looked almost exactly like monarch catterpillers but they were eating my dill so they r not monarch and the mouths were a bit different they were hard to see on the dill It was growing very well I picked them all off so heres hopingit keeps growing well :)
one of my helper boys crushed up my clay for my cacti dirt so just need to mix the rest of the stuff in and I will be replanting cacti :)

Wow, the only thing I have growing this year is banana squash. Considering they get 4 feet long I have my work cut out for me when it is time to harvest them, if I can get them to actually produce. Lots of flowers.. Your gonna have to post more pics of your hauls!
