Today I cased one of my spawn bags, and after casing I put verm on top. How bad was my mistake and can this be saved?

You put two casings on? Putting Verm on top of a sub is a “casing” but you say you put it on top of your casing so what is the first casing?
Mushroom spawn is simply any substance that has been inoculated with mycelium, the vegetative growth of a fungus. ... The spawn is used to transfer mycelium onto any material from which mushrooms will grow, called a substrate. Most often “spawn” is colonized grain used to innoculate bulk substrates. You shouldn’t case spawn, but use a casing on a Substrate that you plan to fruit to provide a healthy microclimate primordia formation and extra water for fruitbody development.

Microbe does an inch of casing on his spawn bags and he has great results IMHO.
