Maybe a honey preparation? Honey is known to settle stomachs, and plenty of people have said blue honey keeps potency well.

I have read the same visuals without spiritual opinion.

Kind of a bummer.

 

Is a water tea better?

I was told just soak in water over night.

I have tried boiling hot teas without much affect.

I honestly dose many ways, a tea, blue honey...that take 6-8 months but last forever, but mainly cooking with them....love to make an omelette with cheese and onions/ham with the dose mixed right in....I cook with them fresh or dried....it slows the reaction some but you get the same ride just not as quickly as other methods...but def w/o any loss. I would suggest looking at some of the many options and simply test them till you find the dosing method that gives you the effect - minus the side effects your looking for.

With the water tea, which only my friends have done, you pretty much pastuerize them and drink the water.

Keep at 160-170 for several hours, at least 2. Pulverize the material as well. Strain then drink.

The magic supposedly doesnt break down til something over 200 degrees, so the heat is no prob.

Remember I've never tried this myself. I just chomp em down fresh or dry with lots of water. Never had the need to try tea.

Well I have some Red Boys in the freezer.  I will try a tea with them.

I will be sure to keep the water from getting too hot.

I probably denatured the magic the last time.

 

I will try the alcy extract with the Burma's.

I hope it is possible to extract 45.5g of Burma into 18 tablespoons of 95% ethanol.

Regardinding tea, it has been reported here multiple times that you can boil and simmer your mushies for hours to get a thorough extraction. 100'C (212'F) doesn't appear to be detrimental to the active compounds. What does get asserted though is oxygen content of the water should be minimised by hard boiling for a few minutes before adding your mushies to it.

I hard boil distilled water [no minerals] for 5 minutes and then grind 7-10g mushies and cover with 1 cup of boiling water inside the mason jar [pint]. Seal jar lid air tight and every 20 mins or so give it a swirl...when it cools I strain through a T - shirt and then squeeze the crap out of the mushies to get all the goodness. Then I mix with 1 tsp of honey and 1 TBS pure lemon juice and drink....Mind blown in 30 mins or less on and empty stomach....

I will try the 5 minute boiled water in a mason jar tea a try.  I will give 7-10g a try. 

Perhaps I have been pussy footing around.

I find mixing in some orange juice concentrate helps get the shit down.

I don't know when I am going to do it though.

Uhmm 7-10g is a big dose....I wouldn't make a big jump in dosing...whats your normal dose?

Sorry for the slow response.

 

I have usually been around 3g.

I think I did 5g the last time.

I have not experienced anything more than a "feeling" with teas.

 

I was heating the water in a microwave oven.

I poured the water into an insulated coffee mug with the dose already inside.

I sealed it and let steep for 30 minutes.

I poured off the tea,

squeezed the pulp,.

added OJ and pounded it.

Waited an hour.

This time boil the water in a pot, and steep for a whole hour in the insulated mug.

If it were me I'd do it for a couple hours, or even overnight.

I agree with you, make a huge dose. Start with half, then you can always sip more.

And make sure to grind or finely chop the mushrooms. Good luck

You can't hurt the actives by boiling. If tea doesn't do much, you just aren't getting the actives out.

Bring the water to a boil, and ground or go finely chopped mushrooms keep at a low boil/simmer for at least 15 minutes, up to thirty minutes. Of course be careful not to boil it dry. I usually just simmer for 15, strain and do the same again for fifteen, adding a big spoon of honey near the end.

I've done 6g like that and split it between three people. Its a screaming fast ride up but overall dosage should be whatever you typically do. The instance I'm referring to were people used to 2.5 to 3.5g doses.

I know Psilocybin wont break down with boiling, but can the same be said of psilocyin?

Yes. The same can be said for psilocin. Melting point is only a little below psilocybin, both well over 300 F.

Thinking of making a tea out of only the tiny tiny pins and blue stuff with verm or coir or shit or whatever. I have over 10g of it in my desiccant chamber. Bet its strong AF.

Also have some dried stones, but tea just sounds like my next dose no matter what.
