I didn't (yet).

Me neither, but I've been meaning to get around to it....

I've still got a couple of days, right...?

I spent the last two days doing metal fab, chopping, grinding, welding, and wire wheeling off mass quantities of rust, as well as painting rust primer and finish coat from spray cans in a breeze.   I felt so totally dirty last night, but was too wiped out to do anything but veg in front of a movie DVD and crash.  We're going to take care of that after whatever dirt bath I do in the heat today.

It was kind of like Billy Bob Thornton in U Turn.

I think its the breeze that is saving ya.

I've been processing firewood the last few days, but I make it a point of never working downwind of myself.  That reminds me, WTF am I doing inside, its not raining and winter is coming.

Ha ha, my wood's in for the year.  What I was making were stake pockets for my neighbor's dump bed Kubota RTV thingy, so he can stack his firewood in it where he's bucking and splitting it out in the wood lot.  His used to belong to Michelle Pfeiffer.  Looks like this, but with stake pockets now:

The thing about spray painting in a breeze is, you can't hardly pull a brush through your hair and beard.   So, it isn't really, "dirty hippie," it's what's yo redneck ass mean by that?

If the hygiene discussion is done now, I have some new experiments to show.

I am really loving this process and the results. have learned that patience waiting for the ice to melt on its own, and not speeding up the process with a spray bottle gives sharper results. If I want a softer blurred edge, the spray bottle will become a tool to accomplish that.

I've been busy this week, but I think the experimentation is over (for now). This is what I have to show for the efforts.

Those are some of the coolest designs. I kept thinking I was seeing a guy meditating in the blue design from the first run. If you look hard - he's there.

Freakin' awesome. !!

If he has an alien head, I saw him. I see all kinds of images in these dye patterns, lots of them.

There is no way to intentionally make them, but the drip process seems to make alot of faces and images,

but of course I also can stare at wood grain and tile for hours and count faces.......................

(Thank you Big Jimmy)

Falling Leaves for the win.  Great looks all the way around.

Make as many as you can wear and auction what you have time for. I'll bid high for one of those.

Those are so good!  Hey, do you think there's a way to do a spore print design?  Like draw a circle on the front and do the folds all the way around...

Edit: OK, you made it look like too much fun.  We just ordered some supplies.

It is fun Side !

I use a fabric marker that is water soluble to mark with a dot the centers, for splitting the mirror image, and then also to keep track of front and back and where the collar, sleeve, and bottom is. This I find proves helpful if i want to attempt to build a color gradient in position. Once its covered it ice, you just have to go with what your best guess is, use colors you like and want, and let it do its thing.

I found its better to do a bit more of the darker colors on the back first, and watch until it is just starting to seep through. Then I flip it to top side up wheather the ice has finished melting or not, and use the brighter colors on the front.

This does not make the shirt dark on the back, and light on the front, it keeps the brighter colors from getting dulled by the seep of the dark because it stays at the bottom. It also makes the brighter colors pop as they become outlined in contrasting darker color.

If I wanted a spore print, I would do a twist about chest center, spread the folds out, but use bands to tie the center and outer rings off, and make the folds thin and tight. When you dye. Keep the center of those tied off twists elevated and avoid the dye in that spot. You will get a bright radial, with tinting deep in the folds that would look like a spore print.....

Of course none of this is a guarantee........... I do my best plan, and am pleasantly surprised at the final result.

I agree, I like the mixes of colors you choose.

Here's another great artist.  He goes by the name Push Rainbows on FB and IGram.  I tried to find him elsewhere but that's pretty much where he is.  No tutorials but is worth checking out for the inspiration!
